NIE (Newspapers in Education) is a program that provides parents and educators with newspapers to help children learn in a fun and exciting way. Each month contributions from sponsors like you will be matched by The Watertown Daily Times and placed into an account to pay for the papers provided to classrooms each and every week.

The newspapers are used as an educational tool and benefits parents, educators, & most importantly the children.
* Parents - Newspapers used at home provide quality time and foster a
environment that helps you and your child grow together.
* Educators - Newspapers are used in schools as a useful tool for
lesson plans. They serve as a guide everyday in areas such as math,
social studies, reading, geography, and the list goes on.
* Children - Children find newspapers to be a new and exciting way to
learn. Newspapers give children a sense of belonging in their
community and challenge their thinking.
